Move & Groove Class Glenelg
Has your older loved one had a fall, or lost confidence in their own balance?
Are they feeling stiff and achey, like it's too hard to move?
Our Move & Groove Classes offer three key benefits:
Strength & fitness
Many older people move less than they used to, which leads to many changes including reduced strength, balance, and less confidence when leaving home. This can lead to isolation, and even less movement in day to day life.
Current Class Times:
Tues 9.30am & 10.30am
Thurs 9.30am & 10.30am
We know that if you don't use it, you lose it, so these classes are to help our older clients stay safe and confident on their feet, and build strength in the key muscles to help them live independently for as long as possible.
Class size is small, so we can closely supervise everyone, and assist as much as needed.
Health Fund rebates available, and we accept DVA clients into these classes too.
This is a gentle way to exercise, suitable for all fitness levels, including for those with arthritis, using a walking stick or frame, and having difficulty managing day to day tasks.
