Meet the Team at Aspire

We are all general physiotherapists, which means we are able to treat a wide range of injuries and conditions. These include neck and back pain, headaches, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain, plus muscle strains, ligament injuries and tendon injuries.

We are also able to provide treatment to specific situations, such as during and after pregnancy, for injuries sustained in car accidents, sports injuries, back injuries and injuries sustained in the workplace. If you're not sure if we are the right Physiotherapists to help you, email us and we'll help you find the right treatment and advice for your injury.

We are all members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, which means we are part of the passionate physiotherapy community around Australia, and we continue to develop our knowledge and experience at every opportunity.

Physiotherapist & Owner

Sally Mander Aspire Physio Glenelg Adelaide

I grew up in Perth, and love staying active through long distance running, getting to the gym, and chasing my daughters around the playground.

I love teaching clients how they can improve their running, through our Running Analysis Service, which is suitable for runners of all levels. I find this is a huge help for clients struggling with long term injuries that they haven't been able to overcome.

Pregnancy is a special time, but so often mums-to-be feel lost and overwhelmed with the information available. Through our free information sessions, a range of classes and our pregnancy-friendly Physiotherapy treatment, I spend a lot of my time looking after women during this special time.

My biggest focus at Aspire is to keep EVERYONE moving (all ages, all fitness levels), as much as each of you can, because you only get one body, and we need to look after it.

Sally has completed additional training in:

  • Pilates Training Mat and Equipment Level 1-5

  • McKenzie Spine Therapy for the Cervical, Thoracic and Lumbar Spine

  • GEMT Dry Needling qualification

  • KTAI Advanced Kinesio taping Certification

  • Anatomy Trains

  • APA Sports Physiotherapy Certificate Level 1

  • Preventing Chronicity

  • Women's Health Level 1

  • GLA:D Program For Hip and Knee Osteoarthritis

  • Netball Knee Program for injury prevention

Sally graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia with a Graduate Entry Masters of Physiotherapy after completing an undergraduate Bachelor of Science majoring in Anatomy and Human Biology.

Sally is currently on maternity leave

You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl! Sport and activity has always been a big part of my life. I was lucky enough to grow up in a country community that had a positive sporting culture. I contribute my upbringing to my continued love of physical activity and movement.

As a physiotherapist I enjoy helping people achieve their goals too! Whether be a sports person aiming for the next PB, business person wanting to feel better at work or retiree who wants to achieve more mobility, I want to help people feel good and enjoy everyday.

  • Rowing Australia bronze accredited physiotherapist

  • Strength and conditioning coach

I gained my Masters of Physiotherapy in 2014. Previously I was working for the SA Ambulance Service as a full-time paramedic. I am now a casual Paramedic as I am now dedicating my time to my dream career as a Physiotherapist and as a mother to Amelia, my three year old.

My interests are within sport Physiotherapy. I am a keen sport person myself, presently competing in triathlons. Prior to triathlons I was very grateful to get through 13 years of athletics as a 400m runner with the SA Athletic league. My greatest achievement was winning the Camden Classic 400 in 2013 and running 5th in the Bay Sheffield Women’s Gift in 2012. I have also spent many years as a surf life saver with Brighton Surf Life Saving Club, played netball for Oakdale and volleyball for Brighton High school.

I am a large believer in Physiotherapy for injury prevention and the importance of strength and conditioning through Pilates. I have worked with children for sport development. I also have a soft spot for Neurological Physiotherapy as I have seen outstanding grit and determination in these clients who have truly inspired me and provide me with this same determination in life to whatever I set my mind to.

Yasmin has completed additional training in:

  • Sport level 1 and 2 Physiotherapy

  • Run analysis and assessment

  • Lower Limb Tendinopathy

  • Advanced dry needling

  • Mat Pilates (APPI)

  • Machine Pilates (level 4 APPI)

  • Neck, thoracic, lower back pain and pelvic dysfunction

  • Return to sport for women post-partum

In my spare time, I love spending time with my little girl and being out in the sunshine doing anything active including surfing.
